NWA Underground results from March 14
Results from NWA Underground Show March 14th, 2008
In front of a very large and energetic crowd, the NWA Underground would make its
return to Union Michigan for the Total Indy Tag Team Invitation.
After many months away from the Underground, th first match would see the return
the of Donnie & Mikey Benjamin. Known as the Frat House, they would make a
successful first round victory to advance in the tournament. They would defeat
Brandon O' and Sky King 4.
After this victory, the Hype Jimmy Shalwin would come to the ring with his newly
appointed lawyer Scott Demotte. The reason Scott was present was because time
after time, according to Shalwin, he has been cheated out of the NWA Underground
Heavy Weight Championship. With the help of his lawyer, The HYPE would get
himself entered into the tag team tournament with his new partner Adam Bueller.
The second match of the evening would see Jeff King taken on All Night Adam
Reynolds. This match would begin as a singles match, but would be interrupted by
Shalwin, and Bueller. They would challenge Reynolds and King to compete against
them in the first round of the tag team tournament. King and Reynolds would
accept. Bueller and The HYPE would advance to the next round of the tournament.
The next match would see the Associate Dave Allen team up with Russ Jones. Jones
was accompanied to the ring by Jenn Toxic. Allen & Jones would advance in the
tournament by defeating Scotty Z and Frankie the Face.
This would lead us into intermission.
Leading out of intermission, we would see the team of Kenny Kage and Jynx, along
with the Luchadores come to the ring and attacking Seth Magavin after he came to
the ring to talk to them about there tactics at the last show. Tony X would come
to Magavin's aide to stop the total beat down.
After thechaos ended, we would see a match for the continuation of the total
indy tag team invitational. It would see the team of Jake Phaninath and Johnny
Lawless going against Hardcore Harry and his mystery partner. The mystery
partner would turn out to be Gregory the Gorilla. This would be Gregory's debut
match with Harry, and his debut match in the NWA Underground. The match would
end in a double DQ, as the Team of Brutus Dylan and Erico would run in and
attack both teams causing both teams to be eliminated from the tournament. Now
because the winner of that match would face Erico and Brutus, that leaves them a
bi in the next round.
The next match would see the return of Big Daddy Dean. He would be taken on
White Boy. This would also be the return to the ring for White Boy as well.
White Boy would defeat Big Daddy. After the match, Big Daddy would shake hands
with White Boy out of a show of respect. The NWA Underground, has heard from
many fans and wrestlers a like, that they feel this was one of the matches of
the night.
From there, we would see a continuation match for the Total Indy Tag Team
Invitational. It would see Jake Omen and Jeremy Hadley going against Ryan Epic
and Nick Cutler. Epic and Omen have had a bit of a rivalry here recently in the
NWA Underground. This round would go to Epic, as Cutler and Epic would defeat
Hadley and Omen to advance in the tournament.
The next match of the evening would see Hebrew Hammer teaming up with the newly
converted Shawn Tyler. Shawn will no longer go by Tyler in the NWA Underground.
He now and for ever more be know as Shawn Tylerstein. Shawn has seen the light
as you will, and has converted to the ways of the Hebrew Hammer. This match
would see them taking on Cameltosis and Jamie Eternal. They would defeat
Cameltosis and Eternal to advance in the tournament.
The last match of the evening was the 30 Man Battle Royal. 30 would enter, but
one was left. Jake Omen would win the Royal, and gain the number one contender
ship for the NWA Underground Heavy Weight Championship with that victory.
Our next show is March 28th, back in Union, MI. It is the second round of the
Total Indy Tag Team Invitational.

THAT WERE GREAT FRIENDS WITH LAWSON. MIKE YOU WILL ALWAYS BE REMEMBERED IN THE
HEARTS AND MINDS OF THE NWA UNDERGROUND. GOD BLESS YOU!
THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP WOULD LEAVE THE KENT BOYS CONTINUING THEIR
CHAMPIONSHIP WAYS, AS THEY WOULD GO ON TO DEFEAT HYBRID CHAOS.

CHAMPIONSHIP

NWA Wisconsin Heavyweight Title Match Mason Quinn -vs-
Douglas “Do-Right” Peterson
Both men make their way to the ring for DDR’s open challenge. Mason Quinn is
clearly the bigger man, and I don’t think anyone who saw these two men thought
DDR had a chance. The crowd tells Quinn to put the title on the line, and does.
He’s a fighting champ.
Handshake to start the match. From here, a lot of the details are lost, but I
remember that Mason started the match off clearly in control, working some great
technical wrestling never letting go of DDR’s left arm. Normally, this qualifies
for a “Break His Arm” chant, but I kinda like DDR, he’s plucky (pluck•y [pluhk-ee]
–adjective, pluck•i•er, pluck•i•est. having
or showing pluck or courage; brave: The drowning swimmer was rescued by a plucky
schoolboy.) I remember DDR broke things up and got a little momentum with a
jawbreaker, but it didn’t last, he was clearly overpowered in this match. Quinn
kept putting DDR
down, and DDR just kept getting up and asking for more. Finally, Quinn finishes
him off with an enormous suplex for the pin. I’m pretty sure it’s an Exploder
Suplex.
Winner and *STILL* NWA Wisconsin Heavyweight Champion: Mason Quinn
”Snake Eyez” Jason Riley -vs- Tony Mega w/ Weezel
And before I go into this, I couldn’t find a picture, deal with it. Mega comes
out first, accompanied by Weasel. A good choice to give Mega a mouthpiece, even
if it is Weasel, as, like I said, Mega has the charisma of a brick. Jason Riley
comes out next, and gets a good pop as he is from Manitowoc, Wisconsin. A good
back and forth match, each man really getting a chance to beat on the other.
Mega benefited from Weasel being there to be a general pain in the ass to Riley
and the referee, allowing him to turn the tide in the match. Riley got Mega down
for the three count, but Weasel distracts the referee. Riley confronts Weasel
about it, and punches Weasel in the lower stomach region and drags him into the
ring. He gets Weasel in the corner, and Mega comes up and low blows him. Mega
then drags him to the corner and hits one moonsault with his arm, then a second
one the standard way to get the pin.
Winner: Tony Mega
Gut Check Match:
Markus Maximus -vs- Jerry Stylez
Definitely gets match of the night in my book. The competitors were all over,
and nothing was safe, not tables, chairs, my Erase-A-Board. Starting out in the
ring, this match did not take long to go to the outside. Markus was caught by a
jumping Stylez off the volleyball judge’s ladder thing, and Jerry literally
buried Markus in chairs, and then beat him with
another one, which still didn’t keep Markus down. Jerry got locked in a double
arm bar (as an amateur wrestler would use) and walked him past the fans, and it
was Time For Chops (copyright circa 2000 by Matt Byron.) I’m definitely claiming
I had the best chop in the line… definitely. And the chop line may have happened
before the chair thing, I’m not sure off
hand. I know after that there was a point that Jerry Stylez was put through a
table, though I did not see most of what happened due to that ring in the way…
who put that there? And again, I may have this in the wrong order, and this time
I’m pretty sure, but Jerry Stylez had a garbage can over his head, Markus
slammed it into the ring post, then beat it with a chair, bloodying Stylez. In
the end, it was Markus pulling off the win, making sure he didn’t have to go
back to training for another year.
Winner: Markus Maximus
At some point prior to this, between one of the matches, Ben Johnson and Tan
Anne came out. Kody Rice interrupted him from the crowd and demanded a match,
using my Erase-A-Board to make sure The Good Rev understood, which Kody Rice
owes me a dollar for. Rev
booked him against “Diamond” Dave Demone. The Foreign Franchise (what makes them
foreign?) comes out wanting to know who they are facing other than Sam Hayne and
Mystique. Colucci asks for The Rev. Rev seen later in ring gear, you know, the
“God Rules” shirt. I don’t remember Ben ever saying he would do it though, just
that he’d have someone. I put this here, because this was intermission.
“Diamond” Dave Demone -vs- Kody Rice
Dave Demone comes out, crowd chanting “Who are you?” DDD gets the mic, and lets
us all know “blah, blah blah, blah blah blah, I’m from New York.” Kody Rice
comes out, getting a nice pop. I don’t remember too much about this one, other
than it was a very good match, nothing overly spectacular, nothing really bad.
Kody gets tons of cheers for the running-jumping-
Winner: Kody Rice
#1 Contender’s Match to the ACW Tag Team Championship
The Dream Police (“Smokin’” Don Gotti & “Cookie Cutter”
Chris Gambino) -vs- “Simply Amazing” Justin Dredd & Douglas “Do-Right” Peterson
Match starts with a handshake between the teams, because, well, good guys show
sportsmanship. Great stuff between the teams, getting backed into the corner,
and rather than chop on the way out, HIGH FIVES! The Dream Police always
entertain, as they are
charismatic and always seem to be having fun. Great stuff with the arm wrenching
thing, Dredd rolling out of CCCG’s arm wrench and applying his own. CCCG makes
like he’s going to do the same, then sneezes in Dredd’s face. Overall, lots of
funny bits in the match, and in the end, it was The Dream Police getting the win
over Dredd and DDR.
Winners: The Dream Police (Smokin’” Don Gotti &
“Cookie Cutter” Chris Gambino)
The Foreign Franchise (“Cadillac” Nick Colucci, Tejas &
Thomas Walton III) -vs- Sam Hayne, Mystique & Shane Hills
So we start with the Foreign Franchise coming out and doing their thing on the
mic. Then we get The Good Reverend coming out. Finally, Sam Hayne and Mystique,
complete with fireballs. Just before the match starts, The Good Rev jumps off
the apron and says he’s not
doing this. He then tells Eric Heroux to play someone’s music, and “Black Betty”
by Spiderbait hits. Johnson says that he’s not here, and Heroux just shrugs.
From the back comes the returning Shane Hills to take the Good Rev’s place. This
was a good back and
forth match, and I don’t want to go into details, but TW3 did possible the
STUPIDEST thing in a tag match EVER. Backed into the corner by Mystique, he
fights back. Then, with Sam Hayne and Shane Hills IN THE SAME CORNER, he
attempts to go to the top rope. Needless to say, it didn’t go well. In the end,
Mystique gets the pin on TW3 for her team.
Winners: Sam Hayne, Mystique & Shane Hills

NWA Midwest results from 9/22/07
-by Kevin Harvey
NWA Midwest returned to the Park District Rec Center in Streamwood, IL September 22, 2007. One title changed hands and several future title matches were made from results of the night's matches.
Match 1
The Mississippi Madman defeated the team of Oro Solido, Tony Rican and Esteban Molina.
Oro Solido successfully took the Madman off his feet once, but were unable to capitalize. Madman manhandled both members of the team. After whipping both men in the corner (and having them end up in a very precarious position) Madman ascended the ropes to deliver The Mississippi Mudslide (Banzai Drop) atop both men to gain the win.
Match 2
SHIMMER World Champion, "American Angel" Sara Del Ray defeated Josie in a non-title match to win a shot at the NWA Women's World Championship in January.
The stakes were high as both women attempting to work up the ranks for a shot at the NWA World Women's Title. Back and forth action saw Del Rey focusing on Josie's arm and Josie centering her attack on the knee and hamstring. Ultimately, it was Del Rey who was able to walk away the victor.
Post-match, the all-too-familiar scream of MsChif was heard over the PA. MsChif stated it should have been her going for the title in January. "The American Angel" slapped MsChif across the face, only to be blasted in the eyes with MsChif's signature green mist.
A 3-Way Women's Match was announced for November 17 in Streamwood that wil pit Amazing Kong vs. MsChif vs. Cheerleader Melissa
Match 3
The Phoenix Twins w/Joey Eastman defeated Eric Priest
This one was not intended to be the second handicap match of the night, but ended up being a three-on-one contest with lots of interference from Joey on the outside. Chandler McClure, as announced earlier in the week, did not have medical clearance to wrestle and promised to find Priest a suitable partner. McClure was no where to be found leading up to the match, and Priest fought off the Twins in a valiant effort. In the end, Joey had made sure both Twins were marked with the same X on their back so they were able to pull their signature switch and pull off the win.
After a post-match beating, Chandler came from the back with a chair and the Twins and Joey cleared from the ring. Chandler helped Priest to his feet, only to lay him out with a crowbar shot to the back of the head. McClure berated Priest on the microphone and made it very clear that this team was no more.
Match 4
"Too Phat" Jason Dukes retained the NWA Midwest X Division Title in an elimination match over "Magnum" Joey Ryan, "Pure Dynamite" Billy Roc, and Billy Kidman.
This match was contested under tag-elimination rules. Billy Roc showed a great deal of athleticism and fire, but was ultimately eliminate following a super kick from Joey Ryan. Ryan was the next to go, leaving Dukes and Kidman. In the end, Dukes was able to pull off what many would consider a major upset, pinning Billy Kidman after the Moonsault.
Following the match, Terry Taylor came out and congratulated Kidman on an outstanding effort in his debut. For his efforts, Terry said his reward would be his opportunity in November. November 17, Billy Kidman will take on "The American Dragon" Bryan Danielson with the winner receiving a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship.
Match 5
Rasche the Skull Crusher defeated "The Machine Gun" Karl Anderson to win the NWA Heartland States Championship.
Carmine Despirito came to the ring to take care of introduction of both his men, giving a significantly more favorable intro to Anderson. Carmine remained neutral until what would prove to be the final moments of the match. Carmine sent a chair in to Anderson. Rasche saw this and took the chair away, only to be met with a super kick into the chair from Anderson's World Tag Team Championship partner, Joey Ryan. Rasche was able to kick out and hit the burning hammer on Anderson for the win.
After the match, Rasche got his hands on Carmine, only to have Ryan distract Skull Crusher long enough for Despirito to slither out of the ring.
Show Interruption
Ms. Eryn came to the ring before intermission to celebrate what she alleged to be "Michael Starr's 24th Birthday." Presents were delivered in the form of a headress of some variety, a can of Pringles, a new agent in the form of Reggie St. James, the game Twister and a large birthday cake.
Eryn presented the idea of playing Twister right now, and Michael Starr obliged. The Mississippi Madman came out, showing his desire for some cake. Eryn berated him and told him to leave them to their party. When Starr and Eryn were fully contorted on the mat, Madman slid the cake under them and delighted in mashing both of them into the cake. Madman then proceeded to roll around atop Starr and Eryn with a look of sheer glee as he rolled in and dined on the birthday cake.
Match 6
NWA World Women's Champion Amazing Kong defeated Tyler Black
Black seemed conflicted most of the match about hitting a woman. Kong obviously had no problem hitting Black, who was on the receiving end of my brutal fists and backfists. Black fought the urge the whole match, but finally punched Kong in the face. Kong played possum as a bit of a damsel in distress. This proved an effective distraction for Tyler as she gave him the spinning power bomb shortly thereafter for the pin.
Match 7
"Shooter" Brent Albright defeated NWA Midwest Heavyweight Champion "Roughneck" Jay Ryan in a non-title match to win a shot at the NWA World Heavyweight Championship in November.
Both men tried to wear the other down using assorted strikes and submissions. In the final moments, Albright was able to successfully make Ryan tap out to the Crowbar armbar submission.
Match 8
NWA Midwest Tag Team Champions The Extreme Dream Team of Corporal Robinson and Hardcore Craig defeated The Weapons of Mass Destruction, Tank and Bull Pain to win a shot at the NWA World Tag Team Titles in November.
Hard-hitting match that went all over the ring and well into the ringside area. In the end, the teaming experience of Corp and Craig seemed to give them the advantage as they were able to hit a combination super kick/Boot Camp for the win.
Tank and Bull did not feel the war was over. They laid a severe beating on Corp and Craig post-match, much to the pleasure of the Real American Heroes who will now have to face the Extreme Dream Team for the NWA World Tag Team Titles November 17.
The show was filmed with two cameras with commentary by Dave Prazak, Kevin Harvey, Joey Ryan, and Karl Anderson. It will be available shortly on midwestwrestling.com as well as smartmarkvideo.com.
Our next show will be back in Streamwood on November 17 with a 7 p.m. bell time.

NWA World Women's Champion Amazing Kong VS The NWA Wisconsin Champion Silas Young
Kong is still enraged that Bob Trobich the NWA Executive Director has ignored her demands for a shot at the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. "1st I chased Christian Cage, and then tried to get in the tournament only to be denied by Trobich. I'm here to prove I can beat ANYONE. Man or Woman". Silas Young stepped up to the plate, and accepted Kong’s challenge. He laughingly said "There's not a chance in Hell that she'll beat me. I'm ALL MAN & I'll prove that to her on Sept 22nd". NWA No Limits results from 9/14
Results from the NWA No Limits Wrestling show in Blue Grass, IA on September 14, 2007:
Knight Wagner won an 11-man battle royal in 2:05, last eliminating Krotch to become Brian Ash's tag team partner later on in the night. Also in the battle royal were Zach Thompson, Aaron Masterson, K.C. Jackson, C.J. Esparza, Nick Brubaker, Brett Gakiya, Ricky Kwang, Jimmy Rockwell, & Chris Pavon.
Aaron Masterson (w/ Zach Thompson in his corner) pinned K.C. Jackson in 8:22 with what I can only describe as a double-underhook stunner.
Krotch pinned Chris "Cage" Pavon in 9:24 with a springboard reverse DDT.
Zach Thompson (w/ Aaron Masterson in his corner) pinned C.J. Esparza in 6:34 after crotching him on the top rope and then pinning him while holding the tights.
Norman Smiley & Mississippi Madman beat Brian Ash & Knight Wagner in 14:43 in a match guest-refereed by Eugene when Smiley pinned Ash after Smiley, Madman, Wagner, and Eugene all punched Ash in succession.
Nick Brubaker & Brett Gakiya beat Ricky Kwong & Jimmy Rockwell in 12:57 when Brubaker pinned Kwong after he lifted Gakiya into a reverse 450 senton splash onto Kwong.
Shane Hollister beat Marek Brave in the best two out of three falls in a total time of 16:36 to retain the NWA Iowa State Championship. Brave pinned Hollister in 4:55 in the first fall when he reversed a reverse rolling cradle into one of his own and held onto the ropes, Hollister pinned Brave in 6:34 in the second fall with a rolling front cradle, and Hollister made Brave tap out to the Texas cloverleaf in 5:07 in the third fall.
Amazing Kong pinned MsChif in 14:17 in a No-DQ, falls-count-anywhere match to retain the NWA Women's Championship after power bombing MsChif through a table in the ring.
Other notes about the show: Lots of new faces in the ring tonight, and most of them were pleasant surprises, notably C.J. Esparza and Brett Gakiya, who mix in scientific moves with some terrific aerial moves. Norman Smiley and Eugene were both as nice as could be. Eugene took the time after refereeing his match to shake hands with every single ringsider
all the way around the ring. Marek Brave turned heel during his match with Hollister, then offered to shake hands with Hollister after he lost, slapped Hollister, and left quickly. The women in the main event were awesome. It really makes you appreciate how bad the WWE's "divas" matches are. I guess when all you're interested in how much like a supermodel your
women look like and not how good a match they can wrestle, that's what you get. Anyway, Kong & MsChif definitely had the match of the night. They started in the ring, but quickly brawled all over the building, using pretty much everything not nailed down. A funny note in that someone won a chair that had been autographed by all the wrestlers just prior to this
match, and MsChif used it on Kong. Those two chopped the heck out of each other and MsChif can sure take a bump. She took a choke slam on the floor, was thrown through rows of chairs several times, was given a sit-down power bomb in the ring before being finished with the power bomb through the table.
And shame on anyone who didn't come. SUPPORT YOUR INDEPENDENT WRESTLING!
Do you want the wrestling world to be nothing but WWE?
NWA Wisconsin results from 9/15
Courtesy of the NWA Wisconsin Message Board.
The show opened with the "Good Reverend" Ben Johnson introducing the crowd to his congregation and
informing Nick Colucci that he could still could not face J-Cash. But if the Cadillac could defeat his
opponent that night that he could have Cash at the next show. J-Cash also came out and Johnson offered
him the same deal.
Adrian Lynch and Jerry Stylz def. "K-Train" Kody Rice and Mickey McCoy
McCoy and Rice showed that they are a some of the hottest up-and-comers in ACW, but the veteran
cheating... I mean accumen of Lynch rolling the small package of McCoy to give Jerry Stylz the win.
During Jerry's celebration he was interrupted by the mountain of a man, Markus Maximus. Maximus wanted
Stylz right then and there, but Stylz declined. He said that he was going to the lockerroom to pick out
an opponent. If Markus could beat that opponent, Jerry would face him next month. But just then he was
interrupted by Thomas Walton the third. Thomas stated that he would beat Markus for Stylz free of charge.
Markus Maximus def. Thomas Walton the Third.
To no one's surprise (except Jerry Stylz) Markus solidly trounced the seventy pound lighter Walton with
a sky high slam.
"Cadillac" Nick Colucci def. Douglas "Do Right" Peterson.
Showing some excellent ring ability, Douglas showed that his ACW training can help him hang with some of
the best in the independant scene. But a hellish lariat took down the youngster Peterson.
After the match the rest of the Congregation came to the ring to take out their aggression on Peterson.
When Johnson told them that they were done having fun, C. Martin McClure told him that they had had enough
and Colucci punched out Johnson. J-Cash and the Dream Police came out to Johnson's rescue and chased off the
Congregation.
The Dream Police def. Chase McCoy and "Tattooed" Mark Priebe
In a rough and tumble match, the Dream Police danced their way to victory with a devistating Doomsday Device.
"Simply Amazing" Justin Dredd def. Bobby V. and Tony Mega
In an impressive showing from the best the X Divison has to offer, The Amazing One took out Bobby V. with a
top rope RKO after tossing Mega to the ouside.
J-Cash def. Derek St. Holmes.
A great old school match. Derek almost had the former ACW champ with a series of leg holds. But the wily
Cash caught St. Holmes with a quick back slide while members of the Congregation watched from the front
row.
Tejas def. Dysfunction
Well, once the action got into the ring, Dysfunction put on a clinic of top notch, high impact moves. But
the sturdy Native American warrior, Tejas, hit him with the Burial Ground to finish off the former ACW
champion.
After the match, the Congregation took to the ring to congratulate who else but themselves. But their joy
quickly ended with the familiar sound of Danzig filled the arena and the dark one himself, SAM HAYNE, emerged
from the curtain with Mystique and two unlit torches. Once the confusion started to fade from the
Congregation, the Reverend Ben Johnson came out from the curtain and stated: "How do you beat a monster
that you created? You get a bigger, badder, and more powerful monster. All this is missing is... FIRE!".
Johnson lit Hayne's torches and the Congregation scattered. Hayne sent his silent but all to clear message to the Baba Louie's faithful with some fireballs in the middle of the ring.
